Contribution to Port Reform: KLU Research Team Participates in New World Bank Publication

The World Bank has released the third edition of its Port Reform Toolkit, a comprehensive reference work addressing key developments and challenges in the global port sector. The new edition consists of ten modules covering topics such as institutional reform, digitalization, financing, and environmental sustainability.

Module on Environmental Sustainability Co-Authored by KLU Team

A research team from the Center for Shipping and Global Logistics at Kühne Logistics University, together with Prof. Dr. Jason Monios of KEDGE Business School, co-authored Module 8: Environmental Sustainability. The authors – Lara Pomaska, Gustavo Martinez, Prof. Dr. Gordon Wilmsmeier (Kühne Professorial Chair in Logistics, Universidad de los Andes), and Prof. Dr. Jason Monios – bring together current approaches and recommendations for sustainable port development. “It has been an honour for our team at the Center for Shipping and Global Logistics to contribute to this important work” the team stated. For over two decades, the Port Reform Toolkit has been a solid guide for implementing port reforms, evolving along the way in response to changing sectoral trends. With this contribution, KLU researchers contribute to shape the path for sustainability in an increasingly changing world.
