Digital transformation and artificial intelligence are at the core of how we understand modern management, logistics, and supply chains. They are fundamentally changing how individuals and organizations communicate, operate, and make decisions.
For today’s managers, competitive advantage depends on the ability to turn data into insights, to understand and improve processes, and to deploy AI where it creates real value. This includes generative AI, foundation models, and AI agents to automate complex processes. KLU’s Operations Mindset leans into this transformation, contributing to the adoption of the newest technologies in businesses and supply chains.
At KLU, research and teaching in digital transformation & AI combine three perspectives:
- the technical foundations of data science, machine learning, generative AI, and process mining,
- the managerial lens on digital transformation, organizational change, and responsible AI adoption,
- the applied context of logistics, supply chains, and operations, in which these technologies unfold their impact.
Students and executive participants learn to identify where AI and analytics are genuinely useful, to evaluate their limitations critically, and to lead digital initiatives that are both technically sound and organizationally viable. Our research explores both how organizations navigate digital transformation and develop AI-based methods to improve operations and supply chains.
With its study programs and research, KLU's mission in the field of digital transformation & AI is to prepare future business leaders who understand and master the digital revolution.
