CCDR: Country Climate and Development Report

The Country Climate and Development Report (CCDR) is a new core country analytic product that will help inform each Systematic Country Diagnosis (SCD), and as such, the Country Partnership Frameworks (CPF) that reflect the agreed priorities for World Bank Group support for a country. The CCDR is intended to help identify opportunities for climate action by the public and the private sector, so that each country’s development goals can be achieved in the context of sustainability.

The CCDR is intended to help identify opportunities for climate action by the public and the private sector, so that each country’s development goals can be achieved in the context of sustainability.

The Country Climate and Development Report (CCDR) is intended to help identify opportunities for climate action by the public and the private sector, so that each country’s development goals can be achieved in the context of sustainability. The objective and focus of the CCDR is to capture the interplay between green, resilient and inclusive development, countries development goals, and climate change, in the context of the Paris Agreement and the WB’s commitment to align its portfolio to its objectives. The CCDR analyzes how the country’s development goals can be achieved in the context of mitigating and/or adapting to climate change. It also considers and reflects the country´s commitments as embedded in their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) or longer-term domestic and international climate commitments and identify ways to support implementation through public and private sector solutions. The CCDR explains how climate change is a threat to human capital outcomes and how human capital will also be critical to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and allow for successful adaptation. This project will prioritize the mitigation and adaptation measures in a country’s port or ports as an input to a Country Climate and Development Report.
